How to create task
Creating tasks on Taskomat™ is very simple: you can do it in different ways.
Before we look at them all in detail, let's find out why there are essentially two ways of creating tasks on Taskomat™:
You can create tasks within work units and then schedule them
You can create tasks on the calendar or dashboard and then link them to work units
When you create a task within a work unit, you need to schedule it on a day in order to be able to execute it, whereas if you create it directly on the calendar or using the "Create a task on the fly" tool, you then need to link it to a work unit in order to be able to account for it.
Accounting a task means assigning it to a work unit: this way, the time spent on the task will be counted in the total budget of the work unit. If you do not account for your tasks, you will never be able to determine the profitability of your project.
You can create a task "on the fly" by clicking on the stopwatch icon on the top bar. When you create a task on the fly, the time count starts immediately after creating the task. In this way you will create a task immediately ready to be executed, but which must then be linked to a work unit in order to be correctly counted.
You can create a task in the dashboard by clicking on the + button on the task management panel. This way, you will create a task that is already planned on today, but not linked to any work unit.
You can create a task on the planner by clicking on the + button found on each individual day. This way you will create a task already planned on the day in question, but not linked to any work units.
You can create a task from the workflow section by clicking on the "Add Task" button of the work unit where you wish to add tasks. This way you will create a task that is already booked on the work unit, but needs to be scheduled.
You can create a task directly within the work unit by opening the work unit detail from the workflow or project detail section. In this way, you will create a task that is already accounted for on the work unit, but needs to be scheduled.
